OKC operates no city-owned landfill - the four landfills above are private facilities that participate in the city's twice-yearly Free Landfill Day (2026 dates: May 2 and September 12). Bulky waste route changes (Phase 2) took effect May 1, 2026 for about 13,000 households. Bulky service does not shift for holidays. No separate curbside yard-waste service - bagged leaves and grass go inside the Big Blue trash cart. Bagged items are never collected in the bulky program.
