Phoenix retired its quarterly bulk trash schedule and moved to appointment-based collection; the quarterly schedule is obsolete. HHW has no permanent drop-off: Phoenix solid waste customers get a free at-home HHW collection, one per customer per calendar year, scheduled at phoenix.gov/hhw or 602-262-6251; items must be out by 7 a.m. in a sealed box labeled 'HHW' next to the garage/front door (not at the curb). The city owns the State Route 85 Landfill in Buckeye, but residents self-haul to the two transfer stations; trash is then hauled to SR-85.
